A 54 inch diameter x 68 inch pitch racing prop is now available. This 8 pound all-composite prop is designed around the Cassutt and follows Theodorsen theory in chord and pitch distribution resulting in a prop of minimum induced loss. It is made in my latest technology Half-Master™ molds which result in both blades having near identical properties. It helped “Scarlet Screamer” to three consecutive 2nd place Gold finishes at the 2008, 2009, and 2010 Reno National Championship Air Races.
Due to its advanced technology this prop carries a higher price than my other props. Robert “Hoot” Gibson’s flight test report and comparison to my 5465 can be found here. An excellent article describing the development appeared in the January / February 2011 Formula Forum and can be found here.
